Once again in that place

 One day, five children met at a very big tree in the forest.

That day, they had all come to the forest for a picnic with their families.

That was the beginning of their story.

They all saw the same tree—a big, beautiful tree.
Because of that tree, they met each other and became friends.

A few months later…

Their graduation ceremony was held at school.
After graduation, they all went to different junior high schools.

Unfortunately, they went to schools that were far away from each other.

When they became high school students, their schools were even farther apart.

Then they grew up and started working for different companies.

One day, their companies planned a picnic in the forest.

And, by chance, they all came to the same place at the same time.

They met each other again.

They stood around the big tree,
sang songs together,
and had a wonderful time.

But after that day,
the five friends never met again.

Story Tree's feelings

 I am the biggest tree in the forest.

During the day, children sometimes come to play near me, and that makes me happy.

One day, a tree friend asked me,
“If you could have one wish, what would you wish for?”

I thought to myself,
“Sometimes the wind is very strong, and it can be difficult. Maybe I would like to become a human.”

But when I thought about it carefully, I realized something.

“If I became a human, I might not be able to talk with my tree friends anymore.”

So the tree answered,
“I think my wish is to keep living happily with all my friends, just like this.”

And the tree continued to live happily with its friends.

 When I look up at the sky in the morning,

I think the sun is shining down on the Earth.

When I look up at the sky at night,
I think the stars are shining down on the Earth.

The sun is so bright
that I cannot keep my eyes open.

When I look at the stars from Earth,
I think there are so many stars
that my eyes cannot even see.

Things that are close to us
look big and clear.

But things that are far away
can only be seen
when we have a rich imagination.
